Our family cabin is way up high in the mountains, about 8,000 feet above sea level, I believe. Outside of the cabin there is a nice large wood deck. It is great to have. Unfortunately due to the large amount of snow fall in the mountains the deck takes a lot of upkeep. Often in the spring part of it will have collapsed from the weight of the snow. When I saw this min-century modern outdoor space I was inspired. Sure a wood deck is nice but a concrete outdoor area would require less upkeep. I will have to throw the idea at my Dad. Maybe we can incorporate it into our eventual rebuild designs.
